    Privacy Policy

How The Link Source collects, uses, and protects your information—including when you sign in with Google.

    Privacy Policy

    Effective date: June 1, 2026

    Your privacy matters

This policy explains what information we collect—including when you sign in with Google—how we use it, and how to control or revoke access.

    1. Who We Are

The Link Source LLC (“The Link Source,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a managed IT services provider headquartered at 17350 State Highway 249, Suite 220, Houston, TX 77064. We operate the website thelinksource.com and related client tools and portals.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect through our website and applications—including information we receive when you sign in with Google—how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.

    2. Information We Collect

    a. Information you provide directly

    • Contact details such as your name, email address, and phone number—for example when you complete a contact form, request a consultation, or book a meeting.
    • Business information such as company name, number of users, and the services you are interested in, which you share on a form or in a conversation with our team.

    b. Information received when you sign in with Google

Our website and tools offer “Sign in with Google” so you can authenticate using your existing Google account. When you do, Google shares with us the basic profile information you authorize. The specific Google OAuth scopes we request are:

    • openid — used to verify your identity during sign-in.
    • email — your Google account email address, used as your unique login identifier.
    • profile — your name and profile picture as shown on your Google account, used to personalize your session.

We do not request and do not collect access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar events, contacts, or any other Google data. Sign-in with Google is used solely to authenticate you.

    c. Information collected automatically

    • Technical data such as browser type, device, IP address, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and analytics.
    • Analytics data (for example Google Analytics 4) to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

    3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

    • Authenticate you when you sign in with Google and create or maintain your user session.
    • Respond to inquiries, consultation requests, and meeting bookings you submit.
    • Provide, support, and maintain the services you have engaged us to deliver.
    • Communicate with you about your account, appointments, and service-related matters.
    • Improve our website, tools, and content through aggregated analytics.
    • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud and unauthorized access.

The Google profile information we receive (name, email, and profile picture) is used only to identify you and support your sign-in session. It is not used for advertising and is not sold to anyone.

    4. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

The Link Source’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google’s Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data received from Google is used only to provide sign-in authentication and the related features described in this policy, is not used for advertising, and is not transferred to any third party except as necessary to provide the service.

    5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in limited circumstances:

    • With service providers who help us operate our website and business (such as analytics, calendar booking, and CRM tools), under agreements that require them to protect your data.
    • When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights, clients, or the public.
    • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the protections in this policy.

When you sign in with Google, Google itself may share information with us as described above; we do not share your Google data with Google further, and Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

    6. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services, respond to your requests, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Google sign-in data used for authentication is retained for the life of your account and deleted when your account is closed or you revoke access.

We protect information with appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication on internal systems, and restricted access controls—consistent with the security standards we apply for our managed IT clients.

    7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

    • Access and correction: You may request a copy of your information and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate.
    • Deletion: You may ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
    • Revoke Google access: You can disconnect our app from your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access signs you out and stops us from receiving any further Google data for that account.
    • Marketing: You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message.
    • Cookies: You can control cookies through your browser settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ContactUs@TheLinkSource.com or call (281) 598-5580.

    8. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on our website to understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it and accurately report on our performance. When you visit, Google Analytics automatically collects usage information such as the pages viewed, approximate geographic location (country, region, and city), device and browser type, referral source, and the date and duration of your visit.

This information is collected using cookies and is typically pseudonymous and aggregated. We use it to measure traffic, identify which content is most useful, and report on how the website is performing. Google Analytics data may be processed by Google LLC as our analytics provider, and Google’s use of that data is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine Google Analytics data with personal information you submit through forms for advertising purposes.

You can manage or disable Google Analytics cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not affect your ability to submit a form or request a consultation. You can review Google’s privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

    9. When You Connect Your Google Analytics

Our marketing application may offer “Sign in with Google” so that you can connect your own Google Analytics account to it. If you choose to connect yours, you are granting our application access to your Google Analytics data—you are providing our application with access to your Google Analytics, not the other way around.

When connected, we use that access only to gather the information needed to accurately report on your standings—for example traffic, audience, and performance metrics from the Google Analytics views or properties you choose to share. We do not use your connected Google Analytics data for our own advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to display those reports to you.

You can disconnect your Google Analytics at any time by removing our application’s access from your Google Account permissions page. Disconnecting access stops us from retrieving any further data from your Google Analytics, though data we had already retrieved and stored to produce your reports may be retained as described in Section 6.

    10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

    11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with an updated “effective date” at the top. Material changes will be noted on our website.
